Students complete coursework in subjects such as reading, writing, math, science, and social studies through structured online platforms. Flexible daily scheduling allows families to build a learning routine while meeting required participation, coursework, and progress expectations.

Parents and guardians serve as learning partners by helping students maintain a routine, complete daily work, communicate with teachers, and monitor progress.
Stay connected
Teacher check-ins, feedback, and academic support help students understand their goals and stay on track. Students complete required weekly learning logs and maintain regular communication with their teacher.
Move forward with purpose
Instruction and academic planning take students’ demonstrated skills and progress into account. Our team helps identify where students need additional practice, support, or opportunities to advance.
ON-CAMPUS SUPPORT AND CONNECTION
Online students remain part of the PVCS school community, with opportunities to receive extra support and participate in school activities.
Tuesday and Thursday, 3–5 p.m.
After-school on campus reading and math tutoring and sports-related enrichment.
Friday support
Additional on-campus support and tutoring may be required for students who are falling behind or need more direct assistance.
School community
Students can explore eligible school activities and events while maintaining their online academic pathway. Availability and participation requirements vary by activity.
Required testing
Students attend campus for applicable state assessments. Families receive testing dates and instructions in advance.

What is Prescott Valley Online Academy?
It is the online learning option offered through Prescott Valley Charter School. Students complete academic coursework remotely while receiving teacher support, progress monitoring, and opportunities for on-campus support and activities.
Is the program tuition-free?
Yes. Prescott Valley Online Academy is a tuition-free public charter school program. A school-issued laptop is provided, and internet access resources are available if needed.
Who can enroll?
Arizona families interested in online learning can contact PVCS to discuss grade-level availability, enrollment requirements, and their student’s academic goals. Enrollment is subject to availability and the school’s enrollment policies.
Does my student need to attend campus every day?
No. Academic coursework is completed remotely. Students attend campus for applicable state testing, and additional in-person support may be required if they are falling behind. Tutoring, enrichment, and other school activities provide additional opportunities to connect.
Can students work whenever they want?
The program offers flexibility in daily scheduling, along with clear expectations. Students must complete weekly required coursework, meet participation and progress requirements, submit learning logs, and participate in teacher check-ins. Families should plan for a consistent school-day routine.
Will my student have a teacher?
Yes. Students receive support from certified teachers through check-ins, feedback, progress monitoring, and help with academic needs. Online learning includes an ongoing connection with the school.
What if my student struggles or falls behind?
Our team reviews progress and works with the student and family to identify needed support. This may include additional teacher assistance, tutoring, adjustments to the learning plan, or required on-campus support.
What tutoring and enrichment are available?
Tuesday and Thursday programming runs from 3–5 p.m. and includes reading and math tutoring and sports-related enrichment. Friday support and tutoring may also be required for students who need additional help. Contact the school for participation details.
What is the parent’s role?
Parents and guardians help establish a daily routine, ensure work is completed, monitor progress, and maintain communication with teachers. Younger students generally need more hands-on help at home.
Can high school students earn college credit?
Yes. Eligible students can take school-approved, school-paid college courses as part of their academic plan. Course selection is coordinated to support high school graduation and college goals.
Can my student graduate with both a high school diploma and an associate degree?
