Closure Details

PVS Parents,

It was announced from Governor Ducey and Superintendent Hoffman this morning that Arizona schools will not be reopening for the remainder of this 2019/20 school year. This means PVS will be continuing with our current distance learning plan through the rest of our school year.

We echo the announcement as this was not the outcome we were all hoping for, however, PVS Administration and teachers have worked tirelessly the last few weeks to create a distance learning program that is fully sustainable through the end of the school year. We are confident your children will continue to learn and grow and maintain a communication with their teachers for the remaining weeks of the academic year.

Some reminders:

• Students should be logging in daily (5 days a week) if at all possible and completing the assignments.
• Students do have the full week to complete the assignments.
• As PVS students, parents and staff get in the swing of distance learning we will give additional academic content and elective work to participate in. Please keep in contact with your child’s teacher.

We are currently working on a plan for refunds for pre-paid lunches, before/after school care, or fieldtrips. More details will be announced by April 10.

We will continue to stay in contact with you and provide any additional details.

Update: 3/14/2020 at 6:30pm

Dear PVS Families,

PVS will be mirroring the closure decisions made by PUSD and HUSD districts and also closing our campuses amidst the COVID-19 pandemic through at least Friday, 3/27/2020.

Leadership, faculty, and staff will be meeting Monday to roll out plans to address academics and meals during this closure. We will provide an update at that time.

Please be sure to check Facebook and on our website for forthcoming updates.

This information will also be going out over email and phone to all families. If you do not recieve a call or email please be sure to update your info with us by sending an email to info@pvschool.com so that we can ensure we are reaching you with these very critical updates.

UPDATE February 11 2020 @ 7:47AM :

Due to the amount of snow on campus, the current icy conditions on campus, and the additional predicted snow until 11am today we will be closed today, Tuesday, February 11 for a snow day.

Current road conditions and temperatures are not ideal and we do not feel it is in the best interest of our families and staff to drive.

We will see everyone tomorrow!
