Press Release: Kindergarten Expansion

Prescott Valley School will Expand its Early Kindergarten Program, Starting in the 2018-2019 School Year

Parents Who Would Like to Learn More About Prescott Valley School are Welcome to Attend Kindergarten Round Up on Monday, February 12

(PRESCOTT VALLEY, Arizona)—For the past two years, Prescott Valley School has been busy growing and improving its programs. As a result, the charter school is now labeled as a “highly performing school” by the State of Arizona.

In order to keep up with the numerous parental requests for an early kindergarten program for their children, Prescott Valley School has just announced it will expand to offer space for four kindergarten classrooms.

The expanded number of classrooms will be ready for the first day of the 2018-2019 school year on August 2, 2018.

As Chief Operations Officer Monika Fuller noted, unlike other local schools, Prescott Valley School allows 4-year-olds who will turn 5 by December 31 to enroll in their kindergarten program.

“This decision has helped to make us the school of choice for early kindergarten for parents who do not want to hold their young scholars back just because they don’t turn 5 before September 30,” Fuller said.

Parents who would like to learn more about Prescott Valley School are welcome to attend Kindergarten Round Up at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, February 12. The event will be held in the cafeteria at the school, which is located at 9500 E. Lorna Lane in Prescott Valley.

Parents may bring any children they wish to enroll in Prescott Valley School to Kindergarten Round Up, or they may also attend by themselves, enjoy some snacks and learn more about the school, Fuller said.

“Kindergarten faculty will be present as well as the principal for a meet and greet. An overview of the curriculum and a program Q&A will be offered at the event, as well as tours of the classrooms, and a ride on the school bus,” Fuller said.

“Because spaces fill up quickly, we recommend that parents bring shot records and birth certificates to the event so we can expedite enrollment.”

Fuller said she and the rest of the staff are excited about the kindergarten expansion, and to continue to offer a quality educational program to the families of Prescott Valley and the surrounding areas.

“We even offer daily bus service as far as Cordes Lakes and Spring Valley! We look forward to meeting you and your family very soon,” Fuller said.
